Weight Management

A Personalized Approach to Medical Weight Management

Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight can be challenging, and for many individuals, diet and exercise alone may not provide the desired results. Our clinic offers comprehensive medical weight management programs that may include GLP-1 receptor agonist medications as part of an individualized treatment plan.

What Are GLP-1 Medications?

GLP-1 receptor agonists are prescription medications that mimic a naturally occurring hormone involved in regulating appetite, slowing stomach emptying, and helping the body manage blood sugar levels. In appropriate patients, these medications may support weight loss when used alongside healthy nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle modifications.

Is GLP-1 Therapy Right for You?

GLP-1 medications are not suitable for everyone. During your consultation, our healthcare providers will review your medical history, current medications, weight-loss goals, and overall health to determine whether this treatment may be an appropriate option.

What to Expect

Our weight management program includes:

  • A comprehensive medical evaluation
  • Personalized treatment recommendations
  • Nutritional and lifestyle guidance
  • Ongoing monitoring and follow-up visits
  • Medication management when clinically indicated

Important Safety Information

As with any prescription medication, GLP-1 therapies can have side effects and risks. Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or abdominal discomfort. Your provider will discuss the potential benefits and risks with you and answer any questions you may have before starting treatment.

Schedule an Appointment

If you are interested in learning more about medical weight management options, including GLP-1 therapy, contact our office to schedule an appointment. Together, we can develop a plan designed to support your long-term health and wellness goals.

Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program

The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program is a federal demonstration initiative designed to improve access to certain GLP-1 medications for qualifying Medicare beneficiaries living with obesity. The program aims to reduce out-of-pocket medication costs while supporting long-term health and weight management goals.

Who May Qualify?

Patients may be eligible for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program if they:

  • Are enrolled in a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan
  • Meet program requirements related to body mass index (BMI) and other health considerations
  • Receive approval through the program's prior authorization process

Eligibility requirements are determined by Medicare and may change over time.

Potential Cost Savings

Qualified participants may be able to obtain covered GLP-1 medications for as little as $50 per month for a 30-day supply beginning on July 1, 2026 and running through December 31, 2027 if they meet the criteria at the time of initiation of therapy.

Affordable GLP-1 Treatment Options

For patients with commercial insurance or those paying out of pocket, more affordable treatment options are becoming available.

Eligible patients with commercial insurance may qualify for manufacturer savings programs for medications such as Zepbound and Foundayo, which may reduce out-of-pocket costs to as little as $25 per month. Eligibility requirements and terms apply.

For patients who are self-pay, manufacturer direct-pay and cash-pay programs may offer lower-cost options, with some medications starting at approximately $149 per month for introductory doses. Pricing and availability vary by medication and program.

Our team can help review your insurance benefits, discuss available savings programs, and determine which medication and pricing option may be the best fit for your individual needs.

Please note: Savings programs, cash-pay pricing, and eligibility requirements are determined by the manufacturers and may change without notice.
